CARE, ILLUMINATED
We are spending some time at Northborne Care Home with the intention of illuminating the love and labour that takes place in these walls. The day to day running of a care home is no small feat – it is undervalued and under-resourced – but care assistants, domestic staff, laundry assistants, chefs and managers are relentless in their devotion, compassion and care to the local people who call Northborne home.

Case studies; in depth audio recorded accounts and edited articles to dig deeper into the stories of care
Participatory artwork; residents and care staff will work together to produce a collection of mixed media art work (primarily cyanotype and ink) exploring their relationships and the nature of care
